Update 9/29: Current owner is ready to surrender to the shelter. TX shelters are euthanizing owner surrenders upon intake. Your application for Donut can make all the difference in the world.

DONUT IS PURE GOLD. SHES BEAUTIFUL, SWEET, AND HAS A LOVELY DISPOSITION.

Sadly for her, she is tied up day & night, rain & shine, in the sweltering Texas sun. Fortunately for her, her owners have surrendered her to our rescue to allow her to be rehomed. Unfortunately, our current fosters are full, so she is STILL tied to the tree. Apparently she jumps over their 4 foot link fence, and this is the only way they are willing to keep her from running. We imagine if she had any kind of attention or enrichment in her life, this would not happen.

In the meantime, her saving grace has been LOKI, a stray husky who has joined her in the backyard to keep her company. Loki is just as much a jewel, and has been around for a few months now. They have formed quite a bond, and it would be nice to keep them together, however, the tock is ticking and the owners are ready to surrender to the shelter. NOTHING IS WRONG WITH THIS DOG. It is a person problem, not a dog problem.

Please help show Donut that people are amazing. She deserves it.

Both Donut and Loki are good with people, kids and other pups, and are well-behaved. They can be adopted together for a discount or separately. We are honestly desperate to keep them alive in whatever way we can.
