Shanandoah is a ridiculously cute 11 year-old Shar Pei that lives for snacks, a sunny day, a little kindness, and chasing the ball. 

Shanandoah has a bright smile, eyes as warm ‘n sweet as melted caramel, a crazy dry sense of humor, and a love that will last through all time. Lil Shenandoah sure loves her people but would appreciate being the only dog. She’s just not that into other dogs (sorry guys!). 

Shanandoah is all the stuff that old sappy love songs are written about, as she saunters by in her beautiful cream-colored coat tossing you a wink over her shoulder. A truer heart there has never been.

Rocket Dog Rescue is an all-volunteer nonprofit group dedicated to saving homeless and abandoned animals from euthanasia in overcrowded Bay Area shelters. We literally give them a second chance at life. And everybody deserves a second chance.

Adopting a rescued animal is a lifetime commitment! Adopters must complete an agreement (http://www.rocketdogrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application/) and a personal interview prior to adopting a Rocket Dog. There is a non-refundable adoption fee ($325 for adult dogs, $400 for puppies) which helps us defer the cost of spay/neutering, vaccinations and microchipping.
