Hi! My name is Kinsale, named after the port town in Ireland. Most people call me Kinsey though. I am an adorable 5 year old shepherd mix who is looking for my forever home. I have lots of energy, but after a good walk or run I love to come inside and chill. I would be in heaven if I could curl up on the couch with you in the evening and sleep snuggled next to you in bed. I am spayed, house broken, and crate trained. My vaccinations are up to date and I am on monthly heart worm preventative. I am super smart, learning new tricks and commands quickly. I need a family with a nice yard and a PRIVACY fence, so I have space to run and play safely. NO TIE OUTS OR INVISIBLE FENCES. I’m fast and agile, and I can climb chain link fences when I see a squirrel or rabbit I might want to chase. I have lived with other dogs in the past, but I need to be carefully introduced to new dog friends to make sure we get along. NO CATS!!! I would do best with children 10 years old and older. I cannot wait to meet my forever family who will love and cherish me for the rest of my life.

All dogs we rescue stay with us until they find their forever homes. We do not do same day adoptions. A home visit is required to ensure our dog is going to a safe environment and our dog gets along with your dog(s) and/or cat(s). We require all our dogs over the age of 1 year attend 1 obedience class (6 week session) outside the home. You must live within 1 hour of Birmingham, MI to adopt one of our dogs. No out of state or outside the U.S. adoptions or fosters. Kinsales adoption fee is $300.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
