Meet our super sweet Hazel! Hazel has an old injury to her left front leg that is going to require it to be removed. When she came to us, she had this crazy leg that just hung there, plus she was super skinny and had a litter of puppies. So, sweet Hazel has had to be here with us for almost 2 months already, just to get her pups weaned and put some weight on so she can be strong enough to go through the surgery. Thankfully, the leg does not seem to cause her any pain, and it sure doesnt slow her down! She cant use the leg at all, so she should adjust quickly when it is gone. Hazel is a Catahoula Great Dane mix and is about 3 years old. She finally weighs almost 60 pounds so shes ready now to undergo that surgery. We would love to have Hazel in a foster or forever home prior to the surgery so she can adjust and then heal up in a nice quiet, comfortable home.
