This is Dakota, a very striking and beautiful Shepherd mix. She is about 2 years old and weighs about 63 pounds. Her soft coat is a lovely honey color, and she has dark brown eyes. Our staff says shes sweet and affectionate, and loves to cuddle, as you can see on her video. She knows commands and is housetrained. Shed probably do best in a quiet home where she can decompress from the stress of shelter life, with no other pets or young  children. She came to us from an overcrowded urban shelter in Texas and we are excited to have her and to help her find the right adoptive family. She is already doing better -- when she arrived here she didnt have much to smile about, but just look at her pictures now! Dakota is spayed, vaccinated and has a microchip.
