AN ACTIVE & PLAYFUL GIRL: 2 years old / 38 lbs.

Hi there! My name is Wrenley! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, and I am grateful I was rescued! Now I’m looking for a wonderful family or person that will be active with me so we can have some great times together! I’m not thrilled with shelter living, though it is very nice here and the volunteers are wonderful. I’m just ready to find my furever home to let the good times roll! I got to spend some time in the prison/foster training program where I had a great time and learned a lot, too!

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I recently met dogs at Mostly Mutts, and I was friendly with them. I also made several doggie friends in the prison/foster training program. If you have a nice doggie at home already, let’s meet and see if we can be pals. / I met a cat recently at Mostly Mutts and we all agree that I should not live with cats. / I also haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers or very young kids that I may bump over, as I am a very active girl! And – of course, let’s meet!

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I am a super sweet and friendly girl with lots of playful energy. I will need a family that is able to meet my need for engagement and activity. While the dedicated volunteers see to it that I get attention, training, and some exercise, I simply need more, so shelter life is causing some anxious boredom for me. I spent some time in a temporary foster home recently where we went on some fun longer runs together, then I was so calm and relaxed in the house. When I was in the prison/foster program, I had fun playing with my doggie friends and playing with toys on my own. When my energy needs were met, I would find a toy in the room and take it into my crate to entertain myself. / My energy level is 6-8, so be ready to be active with your new best friend.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I am now a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, having a blast with my trainer, and learning lots of great doggie commands. So far, I have mastered the ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘stay’, ‘come’, ‘place’, ‘leave it’ and ‘drop it’ commands. I also know how to use proper door etiquette. I am working on my leash manners, as I am a strong puller right now. My trainers are working on the best strategies to help me with this. Please ask about that. / I would not be happy if I had to spend a lot of time in a crate. I have registered my displeasure at being confined in one at the shelter, so I don’t think apartment life would be a good fit for me. / My potty manners have been good on the shelter and prison/foster training program schedules.

• LIKES/DISLIKES: I like to be with people and always take the opportunity to roll in the grass while on my walks. Toys are great fun too, and I always enjoy play sessions – especially when a tennis ball is involved. Belly rubs are just the best! I liked going on runs with my temp. foster dad. I like to jump high, so keep an eye on me in fenced areas at first until you know that I won’t jump your fence. In fact, because I love to jump, I may do well with some agility training to keep my mind engaged and learning. / Other than loud or sudden noises and my strong dislike for the crate and boredom, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.

• MEDICAL: Im current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I’m on an anxiety medication likely due to shelter stress. I may be able to wean off it once I’ve settled into my new home and get more exercise, time will tell.

I am looking for a loving home with a fun family that will be active with me and include me in on the fun as well as keep up my training! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
