Description:
Dory is a 8.5 year old Shepherd mix who came from St. Croix through Spotty Dog Rescue back in 2014. We have had her since she was a puppy. She has been a good dog for a couple but now we have two little babies, unfortunately she has not been able to adjust. She is skiddish and anxious with meeting new people but with continued socialization she may do better. She needs and experienced dog owner that is not afraid to set boundries and rules for her but will also give her a lot of love.
She knows all her basic commands, and is house and crate trained. She is very independent and can be left alone in an open house for 10 hours without any accidents or destroying anything in the house.
She would do best in a house with a fenced in yard or with someone who would walk her daily. We feel that she would do well as an only dog or in a home with an older, quiet dog.

Overall, Dory is a calm, sweet senior dog that needs an experienced dog owner to help her regain her confidence. If you feel that you are the person that can help Dory thrive in her senior years, please contact Spotty Dog Rescue at 203-441-4260 or email info@spottdogrescue.org

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
