Millie is a 5-year-old, 18lb female shiba inu. When she first arrived she had what we thought was a mammary mass and was very downtrodden compared to her fellow shibas. It turns out she had a massive inguinal hernia that most likely occurred during one of the last times she gave birth and had been living in unimaginable pain for a very long time. Thankfully our vet was able to repair the hernia and Millie has made a full recovery. She is potty and crate trained. She gets along with all dogs but is happiest in a pack of shibas. She is very spunky and playful with her fellow shiba foster siblings. She would love a home with a family of shibas or better yet, to be adopted with one of our other adoptable shibas. She tolerates people just fine and is very easy to hold and handle but is still learning to trust and is not yet at the point where she will willingly approach and seek affection from humans. Now that she is finally pain free, we’re sure that she will continue to make progress and gain confidence. She is the sweetest, gentlest girl and has the most adorable face that will make your heart melt. We’re looking for a very special adopter for this very special girl. Please apply to adopt Sweet Millie today! https://www.peacelovedawgsrescue.com/application ***All of our dogs are puppy mill rescues. They require far more patience, understanding, and dedication than the typical dog. We recommend interested adopters research the needs and behaviors of puppy mill dogs prior to filling out an application. Thank you!***
