Hi friends! I’m Nala, a sweet, timid girl who is currently learning how to come out of my shell. In the few short weeks in my foster home, I’ve gone from hiding a ton to exploring and running the house! I’ll still hide some from loud noises and am initially timid of visitors, but once I am comfortable with you I’ll adjust nicely. I am energetic and LOVE to play with squeaky toys and stuffed animals. I do like attention and will come paw at you if I don’t think I’m getting enough of it. I’d love to sleep at your feet if you are working or sit next to you when you’re hanging out on the couch! ?
I am potty trained and have not had any accidents in my foster home. I’ve also had no issue being crated but my foster home lets me roam when they are out and I just lay on the couch waiting for them to come home. I am great on a leash! I don’t know many commands yet but I will sit for a treat. ?
Because of my timidness, I’d do best with someone who is familiar with positive reinforcement training and who is willing to put in the work and patience needed to help me adjust. I promise I’m worth it! I also require a fenced-in yard that would be difficult for me to escape from since I’m so scared of many things and won’t come when called. I will need to be in a home with no kids, no cats, and no other dogs. I do also have separation anxiety and may need to be on anxiety medication. I don’t like to be alone but I will settle down if you aren’t coming right back. Besides that, I’m a healthy girl.
