Introducing Gloria!

This 11 year old Shih tzu mix was surrendered due to changes in her owner’s living situation.  She was never spayed and has had 5 litters of puppies over the years ?, the last one about 2 years ago and fathered by her own son ?.  She was in heat and living with another unneutered male so she likely just narrowly avoided litter number 6 ???? ? She’s spayed now so that life is all behind her and mom deserves some pampering in her golden years. 

Gloria is a bit nervous and suspicious of strangers at first, especially defensive when outside on walks, but once she warms up she is a very sweet loyal lovable little girl.  If you let her come to you to check you out on her terms she quickly makes friends.  She wasn’t walked on a regular schedule and likely needs a refresher on housebreaking but is doing well with crate training and getting on a schedule and we think she will learn quickly with some consistency and routine.  Gloria is about 16lbs and other than some worn and broken teeth is in good shape for a senior and we hope will have many years to enjoy with her new people.
