Best Guess for Age: 8 years as of September 2022 SEX: Female

Approximate Weight: 8 lbs as of 9/7; she might have been underweight at that time and might have gained a bit since then

Gets Along With: Other dogs! She hasnt been seen with cats but can be tested once she has arrived in the DC area. Because she demonstrated some shyness at the shelter right after she was rescued, we are not recommending her for a home with children under the age of 12 at this time.

Currently Living at: Shelter; needs a foster or forever home to get a ride to the DC area on October 6! If youd like to foster or adopt her, see below for more information.
Special adoption considerations: Cora is one of several dogs Lucky Dog is bringing in that were rescued from a terrible hoarding situation. These dogs arrived badly matted, with skin infections, and underweight. They have SO much love to give. All they need is love, proper care, and patience as they adjust to being in the type of home they should always have been in.
Additionally, because this pup came to us not long after being rescued, she has not yet been spayed. We have scheduled the alter procedure to take place as soon as possible. However, if this pup is adopted prior to that time, it will be the responsibility of the adopter to ensure that this is done no later than November 3, 2022. There are NO EXCEPTIONS and NO EXTENSIONS to this date. A non-refundable spay/neuter deposit will be collected if you would like Lucky Dog to pay for this animal to be spayed/neutered at one of our low cost partner vets. Cora also has a bulging right eye that was not addressed in her previous home and may need to be removed. We will take her to be evaluated when she has arrived in our care.
Cora is Looking For: Her very own humans to love! This sweet small girl has not had the best start at all but you know what? Shes closed that chapter and is eager for her new one with her forever family. She may be an older gal but shes still looking forward to trotting alongside her humans on her little legs, seeing the world she hasnt seen. A warm lap for relaxed times at home is on her wish list as well. But what she wants most of all is to be safe and under her own roof and loved for all his days.
