Description:
Mirage is an adorable little kitty who needs some special care. She was trapped after living her early weeks trying to survive with her litter mates on their own. She has been with a very attentive foster mom for a couple of months. Altho’ Mirage has responded a bit by shedding some of her skittiness, she has not come around as quickly as her litter mates. She needs a home with someone willing to continue to work with her to trust people. In an effort to bring this beautiful gal around, she has been kept (mostly) in a large wire kennel and hand fed as well as petted often throughout the day. She enjoys her time outside of the kennel - doesn’t hide as much as she used to - but still won’t let anyone near enough to touch or catch her. Her foster mom discovered Mirage can hardly resist the dangling of the fishing pole toy, so that is the technique used to interact with her or return her to the kennel. Sometimes Mirage is playful, can be held or petted - at times even quietly purrs. Other times - she can be a pissy, hissy little missy. She does best with another cat - she adores the senior cat in her foster home and her brother, Fantom. Mirage is a beautiful Seal Point Siamese with blue almond-shaped eyes, creamy medium-hair and a long fluffy tail with a kink near the end. We believe that with extra attention and patience, Mirage would blossom into a beautiful, special kitty-girl for the right person. (If she could be adopted with Fantom, she would be very happy, but they also could be adopted separately.). If you are up for a bit of a challenge and willing to give Mirage the opportunity and efforts she deserves to become the princess she would like to be, please email Carol at kkc.carol@alaska.net and we will gladly send you an adoption application! ?????
(Sorry - we do not have an online application - we aren’t that techie yet - ?.)

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
