Description:
Lola and her little Pug friend were abandoned in an apartment after the family moved out. They had someone check on them and feed them but they were alone for weeks. We agreed to take them both. Because Lola had some health concerns, the Pug had to come north first while Lola had treatment. The Pug was adopted. This was not an easy decision. However we were not certain that they were truly bonded. Both are doing great. Lola had a massive bladder stone the size of a baseball and underwent surgery to remove it. She also had some mammary tumors that were removed at the same time. Lola is now with a wonderful foster who really assesses her dogs, and works very hard to socialize them and decide what would be the best home for them. Lola adores people including kids of all ages and sizes. She is equally good with men and women. She absolutely love walks and am great on the leash. Lola lived very happily with the Pug. We were not sure how she would do with bigger dogs. The answer is that she is great. She does need time to meet slowly and in a controlled way. However she is now going in the yard with Romeo, a big Shar Pei and a smaller Terrier. Lola is not a dog that will go looking for trouble. She is spunky, sweet, lives for affection, loves toys, is house and crate trained. Lola will be coming to us in October.
