Description:
Hi! My name is Petunia (or like my foster mom calls me sometimes, Toot or P-Toot). I am a 6-year-old spayed dark gray tabby female. I have lived with my foster mom for one and a half years since my first mom passed away. I’m a sweet girl with beautiful, soft fur and gorgeous green eyes.

I’d like a home where I am the only cat, as I don’t always like other cats, especially ones that play rough. I’m getting used to having a kitten in my foster home, but would prefer it to be just me and my humans. I love to lay on my back, stretch out my paws, and have my foster mom rub my belly and side. I also love to rub my head up against my foster mom’s head to get some pets and scratches.

I’m not a picky eater, but I really enjoy some canned cat food as a treat once a day. I will sleep with my foster mom as long as there aren’t any other cats on the bed.

My foster mom says I’m adorable and very easy to love. Do you have room in your home and heart for me?

All pets adopted from Helping Paws of Southern Minnesota will have age appropriate vaccinations, testing (Feleuk-FIV) and alterations included in their adoption fee! Fill out an application to adopt on our website at www.helpingpawsofsmn.org.

How to adopt:
1.\tFirst step is to fill out a Pre-Adoption Application by applying online @ www.helpingpawsofsmn.org.

2.\tOnce your application is submitted, please allow us time to review and we will contact you as soon as possible with any questions regarding your application and status.

3.\tOnce your application is approved we will set up an appointment for a meet and greet with interested available animal. Please bring all family members especially children. Virtual options are available!

4.\tAfter the meet and greet we will schedule and complete a virtual home visit.

5.\tFinalizing the adoption: This includes paying the adoption fee (+ tax) and sending home medical documents with the adopted animal.

We ask that you allow at least a month for your new pet to adjust and decompress to their new home. During this time we will provide one on one counseling to make sure the proper steps are taken to allow for a successful transition. If for whatever reason you need to return your newly adopted pet we will allow a 7 day grace period for full refund on the adoption fee once the animal is returned to our care. After the 7 day grace period adoption fees are non-refundable.

We take finding the best homes for our kitties very seriously as they deserve nothing but the best! Please allow a week for applications to be processed as we are all volunteers working as fast as we can.

If you have any questions on a specific animal don’t hesitate to send us an email @ helpingpawsofso.mn@yahoo.com. We can also help with finding a match for something specific you had in mind!
