Description:
Work at home and want a companion? Or retired, but enjoy a walk around the neighborhood and need some canine love to get you going? Meet Trixie!

Trixie is about 8.5 years old and weighs around 15 lbs. She is the definition of a loyal companion, and once she bonds with you she never wants to leave your side. She is the perfect mix of a mellow couch potato and activity buddy and is happy to stroll around the neighborhood with you or take a weekend trip away (she has recently learned she likes the beach).

Trixies not going to win any frisbee championships, but she will enjoy a morning and evening stroll at a leisurely pace. She is just the cutest thing, with her black scruffy fur (she doesnt shed too much), and her deep brown eyes. Its pretty hard not to fall in love with her darling face!

Trixie is a special gal that can be shy when meeting new people - if you have tasty treats though that definitely helps you become her friend. Trixie is looking for an experienced family that can give her the time she needs to warm up and let her go at her pace when settling into the home. She is such a sweet, easy girl when she is comfortable, she just needs some patience. She is looking for a quiet life where she can enjoy cuddles with her family and be spoiled with lots of love.

Trixie loves to learn and is such a smart girl that picks up new tricks in no time. She also loves to do puzzles its pretty adorable watching her figure them out. She would be a wonderful companion for someone who likes to teach dogs tricks.

Trixie is housetrained and loves her crate as that is her safe space. She would love to be your only fur kid as she wants all the attention for herself. Trixie would do best in an adult-only home.

Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm and started on preventatives and are given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption.
