Sasha came to Emotional Rescue 2 years ago after she had been shot and paralyzed.
This 3 year old terrier mix weighs about 35 pounds and is also a tripod. That doesnt slow her down and shes surprisingly speedy in her wheel chair.
She loves to play with her dog friends (Strange dogs worry her so she needs a calm introduction before deciding that they are friends) and she loves to go for nature walks (runs) on a trail in the woods.
Sasha requires a daily bath as she does not have control of her bathroom functions. Wearing diapers is not a solution for Sasha though she can wear one for an hour or so while she plays on the floor.
Sasha gets an exercise time twice a day (at least) in her wheels. She will need a fenced yard so she can have the freedom to run and explore to her hearts content. She is strongly bonded to her foster mom and we expect shell feel the same way about a family she chooses to adopt.
Caring for Sasha is extremely rewarding and requires dedication and commitment. There is nothing like seeing her jump up and down, asking to be picked up when she knows its time to get in her wheels. Sasha is a great communicator and she expresses her gratitude by looking right into your eyes and smiling.
This pup does not have control of bathroom functions. Baths will be required daily and Living area will have to be created, such as in a play pen where there is soft bedding that can be changed out couple times a day.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
