Are you looking for a goofy, sassy, intelligent girl who is an A+ snuggler? Then youve come to the right pup. Kira is a darling who thrives on routine and lots of patient love. Shes had a difficult start to life and is looking for the perfect fit for her forever home. Kira LOVES to play, especially with toys and other dogs. Shes a pro-wrestler with the other foster dogs and can move lightning fast even with her short legs. She also loves playing fetch with her soft toys and gnawing on a yummy hoof or bully stick. 

Kira also has so many goofy quirks. When shes wrestling with other dogs, she likes to whack them with her butt and then give a little ninja kick to the side with her back right leg. Its her signature move, and shes got this adorable glint in her eye when she gears up to deploy it. She also loves sticking her head under a blanket and pretending to be a ghost to sneak up on her favorite playmate. Shes also a champion snuggler and loves curling up behind your legs at night.

Kira knows hand signals for sit, spin, touch, and jump up, and she knows the words "dinner", "breakfast", "outside", and "potty". Shes extremely intelligent and loves learning new things. Shes also a good mix of active and chill, and is a fantastic work-from-home companion. She almost never barks, even though she shares a home with some *very* talkative dogs. She doesnt have much of a prey drive for mammals, but she loves following and pouncing on insects in the yard.

Now for Kiras specific needs in a new home:
- Kira is a fearful dog. She needs a patient family who is committed to continuing her training and building confidence and trust with her.
- No kids, due to her fearfulness.
- Needs another dog in the home or a frequent dog visitor. She LOVES other dogs.
- A fenced yard is preferred as she is still wary of leashes.

Kira is estimated to be 16 lbs and 2.5 years old. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. Please note that because we require a home visit at the time of adoption we can only place animals in homes within a 100 mile radius of Minneapolis.
