JOEY was born approximately January 10, 2022. She and her sister ROOBY were kept indoors, locked in a crate for the first 12 weeks of their lives, until we rescued them.

JOEY is a super sweet, high-energy dog. As of 10.02.2022 she weighs approximately 37 lbs, and we expect her to grow to approximately 40-45 lbs.

JOEY loves people, other dogs, even cats! She currently lives with another dog and multiple cats with no issues, although if the cat runs JOEY may chase to try to get them to play with her. She attends doggy daycare at Unleashed in New Milford, CT and she LOVES IT! (Her sister ROOBY, who is already adopted, goes there too.)

JOEY lived in another foster home with 3 children, boys ages 4, 8, and 10. She loved them so much and played really well with them. She loves going for walks and car rides, playing with her doggy friends, and playing fetch with a ball or a frisbee.

JOEY knows how to sit and lay down, shes working on mastering stay and leave it, but needs to continue with her training. (If you leave that chicken breast unattended, she will steal it.) She walks well on a leash, but sometimes tends to pull, so were working on that as well. What JOEY needs most of all is adequate exercise and mental stimulation! A fenced yard and another friendly dog would be amazing for JOEY, but shed also do great as an only dog if she was able to have doggy friends or attend doggy daycare.

JOEY is crate trained, housebroken, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworm & tickborn viruses. Yes, JOEY is a GIRL! When she was little she looked like a kangaroo, thus the name JOEY.

If you can provide JOEY with the home she deserves, please submit an online application to adopt a dog at passion4paws.org/adopt. Shes being fostered in New Milford, CT.
