Description:
Trixie is just darling! She is estimated to be about 8 months old and weighs 33 pounds.

Trixie is a goofy and playful, friendly girl, but is also quite shy. She is just learning to trust and coming closer to you for love once she feels comfortable. She has a little wag to her tail too, which is nice to see. Trixie needs an experienced adopter who has the time and patience to build trust and work on confidence building. She is food motivated, which would be a great tool to use to build a bond with her and use for positive socialization. Trixie will need some manners work as well with leash walking, we are not sure she has ever been on one before and tries to bite it. She can’t wait to find an active family to make her feel safe, loved, with a lot of playtime!

A home where any children are at least 8 years old would be best for her, due to her shy, insecure nature. We do feel that she is a flight risk because of this, so her new family will need to have a plan to keep her safe, a fenced in yard would be perfect for this, but not required.

If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Trixie would love to meet them. She has a nice, friendly approach with other dogs and another well-socialized dog in the home may really help with confidence building.

If you are interested in Trixie and are at least 21 years old, please fill out an application at K9stray.com and we will be in touch.

*Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats*

AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
