Laverne is an adorable, 8 yo terrier mix who is approximately 12 lbs. She loves going for walks and walks well on a leash. She is treat motivated, and crate trained. Laverne was rescued from death row at a Central Valley shelter with 3 other dog friends. We think she was probably an outdoor dog who had very little socialization before being sent to the Shelter. Laverne is a timid, nervous girl when meeting new people and being in new surroundings. She has made a huge amount of progress since she first arrived. The ideal home for Laverne would be a calm, adult only home with dog experience. Laverne is not a dog for first time adopters. She needs adopters who are willing to be patient and to give her the time and space she needs to feel comfortable, confident and loved. Another dog in the home would be hugely helpful. She is spayed, UTD on vaccines and microchipped. Applications are being accepted and qualified applicants will be contacted.
