Hi my name is Dulcie! I am currently at the Blue Mountain Humane Society here in Walla Walla, WA. I came to BMHS as a surrender, to give me a shot at finding the perfect forever home. I am quite bashful and I prefer to come to you, as I like to take my time warming up to new people. I would prefer a home with all females and no men. I can become overwhelmed when there are lots of people or commotion going on around me, so I would be best suited in a quiet home with no children. I have a tendency to be a one-person dog, once I am comfortable with you, I will be your little lap protector. I can be a little tense when someone new tries reaching down at me or starts cornering me into my kennel, so slow introductions are a must. Even once I am used to you, I still do best if your movements are slow, as I can become scared very easily and may react. All in all, I know I will be the best friend to the right person. Someone willing to be patient, who can read my body language, and give me my space when I need it.
