Zoey is a sweet little lady who came to rescue in bad condition.  She was terrified of her own shadow, humans, and life.  She seemed to always be in pain.  It took some time but we were able to figure out with x-rays that she had early onset arthritis.  Zoey also tends to get allergies and her poor ears itch!!! She requires ear cleaning seasonally, and it is best performed at the vet. I am trying to trust people more but can get snippy when you mess with my ears.  After starting Adequan injections, Zoey turned the corner!  What to know about Zoey:  Her fosters adore her, and want the most understanding family for her.  Zoey is snarky when it comes to the vet, ear cleaning, and administering meds, and a patient and understanding human.  Zoey does not like the vet and had to be muzzled, but can flip out with the muzzle (we have given a sedative for previous visits).  She LOVES other dogs and playing!  She will need to earn trust.  Zoey loves walks and taking car rides to meet canine play dates.  She is up to date on vaccines, spayed, and we estimate her to be between 4-6 years old.  Zoey has come a long way and would love to be your companion, lounge in a sunny yard, and play with other dogs every day of her life!!!!
