Description:
Cocoa loves to play! If you jingle a wand toy, you will see her dash over from wherever she is to join in the action. When she is enjoying a good petting, she puts her whole petite body into it, rolling around on her back with joy.

It wasnt always this way with Cocoa. She came to the Sanctuary after living her whole life under a trailer. Though malnourished and clearly overwhelmed and frightened, it was obvious that Cocoa wanted to be loved. She got along great with the other cats. She was curious about people and she let the volunteer team get a few quick pets in. Cocoa was always on the edge of the action, observing but not quite ready to join in.

Until the day Cocoa couldnt resist the urge to play. And then she didnt hide away after a volunteer petted her as she snuggled in bed. Finally, she was ready. She started seeking out attention and rolling over to show how much she enjoyed it. Cocoa blossomed into the cat we knew she was all along.

Cocoa isnt the right cat for everyone. She is absolutely adorable and sweet natured. However, she will need someone who is willing to give her the time, patience, love, and toys she needs to continue to shine as the amazing kitty companion that she is.

Cocoa is 1 year old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped.

Cocoa needs a friend. Is that friend you?

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
