Autumn Autumn is a one-year-old feral who recently had four kittens. All four kittens were adopted to great homes, so now it’s your opportunity to write the next chapters in Autumn’s happily ever after story. Without kittens to distract Autumn, we have been actively assisting her transition from the dangers and insecurity of outdoor life to the safety and joy of being an indoor companion. In the last few weeks, Autumn has learned that human touch can be pleasant, and with a little coaxing, she will sit in her foster mom’s lap. And as Autumn wanders through the house, it’s obvious that she is seeking companionship from her foster parents and from both family cats and the family dog, who still are not quite sure what to do with her. But Autumn is making every effort to weave herself into the fabric of domestic life. We have successfully socialized and found loving homes for many adult feral cats. In fact, we have a six-year-old feral ourselves. While ferals are adjusting to indoor life, in addition to spending lots of quiet time near them, we have found that another cat or a dog will model the behavior we are looking for, whether that’s showing affection, accepting affection, or playing with toys (Ferals have no idea what toys are!). Autumn has been spayed and vaccinated. She also tested negative for FIV and FeLV. If you have a heart for feral cats and the time, space, and grace in your life to give her an opportunity to live among human companions, she is available for adoption. If you would like, you can follow Autumn’s story on my Facebook page - Cheryl’s Ferals and Fosters Chat Group. If you are interested in adopting Autumn and loving her through this journey, please contact me to discuss an adoption fee. You are welcome to drop me a note at cherylsferalsandfosters@gmail.com or PM me to set up a visit. If you are considering adopting Autumn, please fill out and submit an adoption contract. You can download the contract from my website (cherylsferalsandfosters.com) or from my Cheryl’s Ferals and Fosters Chat Group Facebook page. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3).
