Description:
Zucchini urgently needs a special home with a special person or family!! Please share even if you can’t adopt, you never know who might have a big enough heart for this sweet girl.

Zucchini’s previous owner failed her big time, and now she is paying for it. She is about 9-10yrs old and was never spayed. Shortly after I got Zucchini, she ended up getting Pyometra (an infected uterus, totally preventable if she had been spayed.) She had emergency surgery and is recovering well. During this time, we also realized Zucchini has mammary tumors. She is having surgery on October 3rd to remove and biopsy them, but the prognosis is not generally good. We cannot guarantee how long she will have to live. On top of that, Zucchini needs to be an only pet (or if you have some brave dogs who won’t be offended at being pummeled by a geriatric cancer cat, we will consider it, lol!)

It’s next to impossible to find a home for a healthy senior cat, let alone a senior who likely has cancer and needs to be the only cat in the home. She is the SWEETEST cat in the world with people, and just wants to be held and snuggled. She is not currently experiencing any health concerns beyond the tumors. She is unbelievably friendly and loving, she would likely do fine with children. I would love to place her in a home ASAP, as she is currently living in my bathroom. We will transport her to/from her veterinary appointments, and I would even consider a foster or foster-to-adopt/potential hospice situation depending on the results of her biopsy. She’s located near Clinton, NJ but can be adopted anywhere within NJ/NY/PA.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
