From the moment my owner passed away, I have been fighting for my life, my food, my security and my loved ones.   With the help of a true guardian angel and the amazing folks at Lab Rescue, our fight is now over.  

Im Simba and this is my girlfriend Liza.  When no one would help us, we bonded together and started a life on the streets but let me back up a little bit.... in order for you to truly understand our position in life you need the full story...

When my owner passed away, his kids kicked me to the curb, literally.  I was dumbfounded and terrified.  Why did this happen?  I was a good boy, I could walk on a leash and obey commands and everyone loved me, or so I thought.  

I scrounged and begged for food and fought for my very existence every day against the life-long strays.  There was no place for a "pretty boy" on the streets.  I returned every night to my home to sleep outside on the stoop praying for that to be the big night... THE night the family finally opened the door and welcomed me back into the house....my prayers were never answered, that door never opened...

When Liza entered my life, I thought, could it be?  Could I have a chance at happiness again?  Until the locals decided stray dogs were nuisance and drugged me in an attempt to ship me off to a tortuous death, likely at a meat market where they would profit on my demise.  A guardian angel heard Lizas cries for help and saved me reuniting us with safe shelter until he could get us out of this misery.  

Enter Lab Rescue who has knocked down every hurdle to give us a fresh start. We couldnt be more grateful for this opportunity. The next hurdle is a family.... we need a family who will love us unconditionally and understand weve seen the unthinkable cruelty of this world but we believe there is still a happily-ever-after out there for us. Despite our story, we know how to love.  We need our familys help to learn how to BE LOVED.  We need your help to find our happy ending.  Please contact Lab Rescue to change our lives.
