Description:
Royal is a 5-year-old, 8-pound female yorkie mix from the NYCACC. She has adjusted very well during her time in her foster home in Manhattan! Royal enjoys snuggling with her foster mom on the couch, walking through the city and getting pets from everyone she passes on the street.

She is doing well understanding come and working on other obedience training. During her time with her foster family, she seems to be housetrained as long as she is taken out frequently and crated when left alone. Royal is a lady on leash and enjoys sauntering along by her foster sisters side. Royal is an affectionate, snuggly and friendly pup.

Royal has done well in her crate during the day and when carried, will do her business outside.

Her forever family will need to continue working with Royal to reinforce and advance the progress shes been making. Shes currently going on potty breaks every 4 hours and hasnt had an indoor accident with that schedule. Her foster mom is working on extending that time more and more. She currently eats all her meals in her crate to make it a positive experience for her.

She loves to be cozy with her foster family and can often be found borrowed under blankets. Royal is looking for a low key family as she appreciates brisk walks followed by downtime on the couch. She would do well as a solo dog or the sister of another low key pup. She is currently fostered with another small pup and they coexist beautifully. They love to snuggle each other, but Royal has moments where she likes her space. When cuddling with her human Royal doesnt like to share her lap, and prefers to be given treats alone.

Royal is awaiting her spay appointment in which her adopter can take her too. She will be getting spayed at the ASPCA in Manhattan.
