Micco is a young (born 11.26.21) neutered male Akita. He is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, on flea/heartworm prevention, heartworm negative, house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. 

Micco found himself at Baltimore County Animal Shelter after his owner surrendered him for potential spinal surgery which they could not afford.

After being medically evaluated by our awesome veterinarian, it was found that Micco has some atrophy in one of his back legs which will improve with activity. He does not have any spinal abnormalities that will need surgical intervention. His growth plates have not completely fused yet, but that will get better as he matures. He does have a UTI and Giardia which is currently being treated. Micco is a very happy kid and we are so happy that he is healthier than what we originally had thought! He may do well in a home as an only pet or with the right female.
