Meet Johnny Cash, a 3-year-old male Malamute/Husky mix. Johnny Cash is handsome and he knows it. He struts on his leash in the shelter yard like he owns the place and it is adorable. He doesnt seem to be fazed by strange dogs and has a curious personality. Please do your breed research before applying to adopt Johnny Cash. Huskies and Husky mixes are very special dogs with unique requirements. They often have the inclination to roam and can be great escape artists. Huskies need to be active and do best with adopters that can help them burn extra energy with fun training. They can have strong prey drives, and while every dog is different, many huskies will chase cats and livestock. Grooming is also an important part of their routine, brushing them several times a week can help prevent their undercoat from matting and keep them looking their best. Huskies are a fun, active breed that many have fallen in love with over the years, but please keep their breed needs in mind when considering adding one to your household. This pet is available for adoption on 8/26/2022. If you recognize this animal please contact the adoption center at 509-457-6854. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been received. A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animals picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Adopt Dont Shop.
