Rex is a super sweet guy who deserves a lucky break, as his humans let him down not once, but twice. He was first found as a stray and taken to animal control in 2016. We helped him onto adoption back then, but imagine our surprise and sadness to hear it happened again in 2022. We dont understand his bad luck as Rex is a friendly and well-mannered guy who truly loves human companionship. He is currently boarding as we search for a foster and craves the attention of his caretaker. When hes out of his crate, he stays right by and wouldnt trade his time with humans for anything. He has the company of other dogs there and seems fine with them but its a human adopter/foster that he wants most. He is good in his crate, house-trained, and loves to chew on bones. We wish Rex could tell us the story of what happened to his adopter, all we found was a vacant house where they once lived. But we do know what hes telling us now and its that he wants a true forever home, as soon as possible, please! Age: 7 yrs Weight: ~50 lbs Training: Housetrained and crate-trained Vetting: Spay/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, to be heartworm tested ASAP Email for questions: jamie@doggieharmony.org To ensure were meeting both pet and adopters needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself. Please expect an adoption fee of $300; some of our urgent or long-term dogs have discounted fees.
