Description:
Duncan, 1.5 years old, neutered male, Staffordshire Terrier mix, 55 lbs. He is in a foster home in Houston, Texas and can transport to an approved adopter.

Duncan is a friendly guy who is ready for a home of his own. We want to start out by sharing he has a small limp. Its most noticeable when he is running around. He has been evaluated by our vet and X-rays have been completed. There is no fracture, break or anything indicating further medical intervention. It does not appear to bother him and he is not on any medications.

Duncan is in a foster home with other dogs and has met other dogs. He is very friendly and has done great hanging out with everyone. He really likes to entice the other dogs to chase him. He would do great with another dog who enjoys playing. He does not play hard, but does like to run around.

He is a moderately active dog and will need a home who has the same energy level. He LOVES to play with his toys and can entertain himself for hours.

He is walking well on leash and does not show any negativity when seeing another dog out walking. He does well in his crate overall. He will whine at first and then settles down.

Duncan is very smart and eager to learn. He is treat/food motivated. He is looking for a home who will continue helping him with basic obedience. He is house broken.

We have no history with cats or kids. We recommend a home with kids 10 years and older. We will note that he is not mouthy.

Duncan loves to run and would make a great running, jogging or power walking partner. He would do well with an active family being outdoors. He also can chill and keep your feet warm or be a back rest. He loves being
around his family and being apart of what’s going on.
He doesn’t need another dog to keep him company because he can entertain himself, but he would do well with another doggie brother or sister in the home.

He is deeply affectionate and makes some of the funniest faces. He loves to give kisses and crawl into your lap like he’s a small puppy. When you are feeling down, he will lay his head on your lap just to make you feel a little bit better. Duncan is funny and a big goofball… he will find the smallest spot where you are sitting and
nudge/ squeeze his way right next to you. If you ever thought your shadow disappears when the sun goes
down well, you’re wrong lol… Duncan is right there. He’s a great bodyguard, food inspector, back rest, and best friend. He’s such a ball of fun and his sweet face brightens up a room.
