Description:
Spotty is a 10yr, 78lb neutered pit bull. Spotty was owner surrendered to us after the owner passed away and the family was unable to continue care. The family informed us that Spotty’s owner had kept him outside and he was her “guard dog.” Prior to the current owner Spotty had been rehomed twice before. The original owner did not advise why he had rehomed him. The owner that Spotty was rehomed to contacted us and advised that she had to rehome Spotty as he was aggressive towards cats and dogs. Spotty is social, tolerant of handling and still has a lot of energy. Spotty is tolerant of you removing toys from his mouth and liked playing with a squeaky ball outside. Spotty did not exhibit any signs of food aggression or resource guarding during his assessment. Spotty did meet another dog and did not exhibit any concerning behavior in the shelter. Further assessment outside of the shelter environment is recommended.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
