Pauley, an 18 month old 70 lb male Pitbull mix.

He is cuddly and sweet and loves laps. He has had 6 hours professional Dog Training and is leash and crate trained and has good house manners. He is also trained to stay in the gate until we invited to go out. He hangs out in his crate without being prompted to go in. He is very curious and intelligent – investigates how things work and what is making the sounds.

We have fostered Pauley for 3 months for a homeless couple who could no longer keep him. They found him in a wooded area in a plastic bag with 2 other puppies. He is the only one who survived and thus wants to be close to his human family. He actually watches tv with us and plays with his toys by himself in the house and yard. Because he didn’t have the litter mate socialization, we are still working on that. He reacts to new people, dogs, and noises and needs more practice in socialization. For that reason, he should not be with little children or elderly in case he get a little too happy and rambunctious.

Things he needs:

· A new owner with experience in training this breed – due to his high energy and inquisitive personality.

· Lots of love and praise but with a firm hand

· A big back yard to run and explore

· No  little children or elderly until he is settled in with further training

· A good owner who is experienced in managing this breed
