DOGS DESCRIPTION
Meet Kodiak! This gentle giant is ready and waiting to find a forever home he can call his own. He is smart, loyal, and absolutely loves people. He would love to be the only pet at home and will need a strong owner who is familiar with the breed. He is a big guy, so he will need plenty of room to run and play. If you are ready for lots of love and bear hugs, Kodiak is the one for you!

Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well-socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.

Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
