(Update, someone shot Ramsey with a crossbow arrow and he did loose sight in his right eye but the eye remains, he has zero clue it is gone and goes on with life like he always had, no further medical attention is needed. He is scheduled to be gelded the last week of March)
Ramsey was supposed to be gelded at Ohio State University on Thursday, he decided he had other plans.
He is being treated and seen again tomorrow for trying to poke his right eye out. No idea what he did, could have even been a piece of hay from the round bale. He will more than likely lose this eye.
I have no idea what is going on, in our 10 years of rescue, weve never seen so many arrive missing eyes, bad eyes that need daily treatment or eyes that need removed.
So after Ramseys eye issue is figured out, we will be rescheduling his gelding and he will be ready for his very own home.
He is a sweet little guy, about 7 months old and a hella jumper! He has gorgeous movement and a natural ability to jump, he jumps round bales, 100 gallon stock tanks - lengthwise. He is however very respectful of fencing.
Ramsey will make an excellent partner from someone.
He will also be hardship registered through the Appaloosa Horse Club once gelded.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
