Gunner is a loyal, affectionate and playful dog who is looking for a home with some herding dog knowledge and experience. Because of Gunner’s herding instincts we will be looking for a home with children over the age of 10. 

Gunner loves cuddles, toys, hot weather and swimming and dislikes loud/fast moving animals and objects, people not respecting his space, vacuum cleaners, the door bell and broccoli.

Gunner’s ideal home would be one that is quiet and has a large fenced yard. Gunner can be leash reactive towards other animals on walks but enjoys sharing his home with other dogs and cats. He would also be fine as an only pet.

Gunner is initially fearful of men (especially those wearing hats) and is weary when new people come into his space without proper slow introductions. In these situations it is best if people new people let Gunner approach them, if Gunner feels anxious or unsure we will try and control the situation by herding, including nipping at ankles. When meeting new people Gunner needs lots of reassurance that he is safe and that his people have the situation under control.

Gunner has a lot of love to give and will make a wonderful addition to the right family.
