Description:
Leo is eager to meet you! He always wants to go wherever youre going. He loves hanging out with people, and is great on a leash. He is very responsive and picks up on commands quickly. He knows sit, stay, paw and lay down. Staff have trained him to wait to eat until he is told okay and not to leave his kennel until they tell him okay. He is highly treat motivated and excited to learn more commands!

Leo would love a home with adults, and to be the special one, though we are also fairly certain he would happily live with another - but he so wants security, to be important, to have adventures....

Leo arrived at Milo via the Mendocino County Shelter - and it was quite clear he was looking for, waiting for HIS person. He was pretty shut down, though not comatose! He was sad, basically, and waiting. Well, his person couldnt come for him so he came to the Milo Sanctuary. It took him some time to relax, and gain trust. He would just looking past you. Once he started taking walks and spending time with our staff, he began to trust again, and now is full of enthusiasm! Now his tail is up and wagging - so happy to go on walks and out to our pasture to play ball!

He would do best with an active family, and would be happy to be the only dog. He can do well with other dogs, but he is selective.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
