Description:
Herbie is a handsome cattle dog mix, he is around 1.5yrs old and weighs about 50lbs. He has the cattle dog docked tail and the temperament of a true cattle dog. Herbie would do well working on a ranch and having a job to keep his mind active. He has been through training classes and walks really well on a leash, he knows sit, place and down, he rides well in the car. He loves going hiking and he does well riding alongside your bike with a leash attachment. Herbie would do really well with a single person that is active and wants a dog to go on adventures with, Herbie really bonds to his person and can be protective so he needs a dog savvy owner willing to manage his behaviors. Herbie does get along with other dogs and would do okay in a household with one other dog and he would be fine as an only dog. He is housebroken and crate trained.

Our adoption fee helps cover expenses (vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets we rescue. UAF does not adopt or ship outside the state of Arizona. To ensure the best fit, UAF conducts a home visit to meet other pets and verify a safe, secure yard.

If you have any questions or to adopt a dog an application must submitted. Filling out this form does not obligate you to adopt, but gives us the information needed to make sure the pet is suited to your home.

HOW TO APPLY: From the UAF website, select the Apply for Adoption button on the dog page or open the listing of your chosen dog and select the Apply for Adoption button.
