Description:
Hi! My name is Leo and I am a 5 yr old Blue Heeler mix. I am an "old soul" despite my relatively young age. My foster mom describes me as shy and mellow. Before coming to Herding Haven rescue I was on the run for several weeks. In fact, I was so elusive that animal welfare had to bring in experienced dog trappers to finally catch. Then I spent another month in the shelter where I sat huddled in the corner of my kennel absolutely terrified. Now that I have had time to decompress in my foster home I am staring to show my personality a little bit. I am timid when first meeting new people but warm up quickly and love ear and chin scratches. True to my breed, once I trust you I glue myself to your side. I have a low- moderate energy level. A daily walk is all I need. I am good with other, mellow dogs (puppies tend to annoy me). Cats are a definite "no" so a home without cats is a must. Young children are scary to me, so kid free home would be best (children over the age of 13 yr would be OK). I am crate-trained (although I dont need a crate), house-broken, neutered and fully vaccinated. If you are interested in meeting me, please contact kathie@herdinghaven.org

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
