Hi there! My name is Styx and aren’t I glad to see you! I am a super smart fella that will do just about anything for a hotdog! I can be a bit nervous around new people so a patient owner that’s willing to help me build my confidence would be great! I love a good game of fetch, so a nice big backyard for me to stretch my legs in would be fantastic! Overall I’m just a very sweet, well-mannered boy with lots of love to give. If I sound like the boy for you, come inquire about me today! 

UPDATE by Doggie Date Volunteer: 
"I had Styx stay over for the night. He was such a wonderful, gentle and overall chill dog. The only time he tried to be jumpy was when I had some tasty morsel in hand. 
He was pretty good on the leash though he wanted to visit every bush and pole we passed. He’s a very smart dog and can sit and lie down. He seemed a bit tentative to get in the car but once he got in, he just hung out. I took him to the mall and to the Bridge Drive Inn. Everyone wanted to say hello and he happily soaked in the attention and would occasionally lie on his back for some belly rubs. He seemed to be good with kids and would let them approach him and pet him. 
He was really nice in the house. He always just wanted to hang out wherever I went. Once he knew I settled in a room, he’d just lie down and fall asleep. If I would get up, he would want to go outside. He seemed to understand borders and didn’t try to counter surf though I could tell he wanted food. During the night he quickly went to sleep and didn’t try to jump on my bed or try to wake me up. He also didn’t try to get into the trash or chew on shoes. Styx is the perfect sized dog and would make a truly wonderful companion."
