DESPERATELY WANTING - BETTER THAN EZRA!

For any of you 90s music buffs, I am hoping my "headliner" grabs your attention! For any of you that are not familiar, please allow me the opportunity to introduce myself; I am Ezra and what is better than me? Not much!

I am a friendly, affectionate and extremely handsome, 1 year old. mixed breed boy! My paperwork from the shelter lists me as a Rottweiler Mix, but my foster mom suspects that I am more Australian Shepherd with my floppy ears and merle markings on my feet and chest. I am a fabulous and very manageable size at 40lbs; I am neutered, up-to-date on all of my vaccinations and heartworm negative.

When I initially came into the rescue, I was shy and uncertain of my new surroundings. With plenty of love, a solid routine and a bit of patience, I have blossomed and have become a confident and a well-integrated member of my foster home! I am a sucker for a kind word, yummy treat or belly rub! I love people of all sizes and have learned how to play with my foster brothers and sister...did I mention that I LOVE to play?! I take treats gently and can share treats in close proximity to others without issue. I am fully crate trained, have not had an accident in the house and am generally very well behaved (I am still a puppy and get random bursts of energy). I still require general supervision in the home to ensure that I do not get bored and snack on anything inappropriate, but I am well-occupied when provided with appropriate toys to play with. Because routine is important to my training and security, I prefer to be in the crate when my foster mom leaves the house, but I am such a good boy (I rarely make a peep in my crate) and I am always so excited to see her when she comes home! I have met several children while in foster care and have attended several field trips, meeting a wide variety of little people of varying ages and have been gentle and sweet with all!

I have learned to walk well on a leash (in the process of fine tuning my skills) and becoming familiar with basic commands and what I am supposed to do when I hear them (I am extremely treat motivated, which helps me to learn new things quickly). I bond very quickly to my caretaker(s) and love to show affection - my general demeanor is very happy, go-lucky! If you are looking for a new best friend, please consider adopting me!

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
