Description:
This is Hayes! He is from the same abuse case as Sassy, Brownie, Rusty, Abby, Howard, and Maverick. We were able to bring him into a warm and loving home thanks to an amazing foster family! He is about 4 years old and 35 lbs. In just a short time he has opened up to being pet, bathed, brushed, and house trained. He finds his crate to be safe, but has been enjoying free time in the backyard to wander. He gets along with the 3 large hounds in his foster home. They all respect each others space. He eats well in his crate and feels secure there. Kids 10 and older are recommended at this time because he is still a little skittish. A quiet and calm space would be best as he acclimates to a life inside filled with food and love. Hayes will require an experienced, dog savvy adopter. One that can read his cues and give him the time and patience he needs for trust and bonding. He is headed to the vet to get him up to date on all shots, assessed, and neutered. We learned that Hayes is Heartworm and Ehrlichia positive, so we are treating both. He is not showing any signs or symptoms of either. An application is required to meet him. FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
