Dodger came in as a stray. She is approximately a 3-4 month old, male, Australian Cattle/Heeler mix. he is great with staff and small dogs. At the time it is unknown if Dodger is house/crate trained. Dogs are NOT tested with children; her behavior towards children are unknown. Dodger will be available for adoption on September 15  2022. If this is your dog, please call the shelter immediately. Proof of ownership will be required (vet records, vaccine history, photos) .

Everyone is welcome to adopt from our facility, we like to give everyone the same opportunity to adopt. Adopters can be from out of town and/or local. We do NOT place holds for adoptions. Adopters are responsible for transportation.

It is a FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS BEGINNING AT 8:00 ON THE DATE THEY ARE AVAILABLE. You are more than welcome to call us the day before their availability to make sure the pet is still for adoption. Rescues pulls, will be a first come first serve starting at 10AM, only implies the first day of the animals availability.

Rescue is a non profit organization with a tax exempt 501(c)(3). If you never pulled from the Wasco Animal Shelter, please email us two references(vet preferably) and a copy of your 501(c)(3) form @

AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
