Hi! People call me Tonka, and Im starting to get used to the name, especially if they have snacks. Snacks are pretty good. My foster mom says she knows I am a beagle because Im stubborn, bark a lot, and love food. Shes right, but theres a lot of other things I like too! I love ear rubs, back scratches, sniffing all of the yard, every day, all day long and baying at all the smells. Theres a lot of smells, and I dont like to miss any of them. My foster mom said my bay is really loud, but I think her and the neighbors are nuts. I love being close to my people and my foster brothers and sister. I love playing and hip-checking the other dogs when they least expect it. Nibbling their ears and tails is my favorite because then we zoomy, race around the yard and wrestling is the best! I sure enjoy my friends. My foster mom says Im built like a linebacker and my feet are big, but I think my feet are perfect for walking, running, hunting, and playing! Im a really good boy. Im always happy. I never have accidents in the house, I know how to use the doggy door, and I never dig. Im learning to cuddle with people, and I love sleeping in the bed with my brothers and sisters, but I dont mind the kennel or dog bed too. The ideal home for Tonka would: -have a doggy companion or two -have a fenced in yard -not have shared walls -stay on top of nail trims (Tonka came in with embedded nails and he still has his rear dew claws) -be patient and loving -have beagle experience Please contact the good folks at HoundSong to learn more about Tonka!
