Description:
Bear is a handsome 11 month old Beagle who comes to us from a loving family.\xa0 He grew too large to fly with his family and they do not want to send him via cargo or cross country by van when they come to WNY each summer.

Bear is friendly, loves all humans, gets along with other dogs, but is not compatible with cats. He is housetrained, leash trained and crate trained, although he really no longer cares to be crated and can be left alone with free access in the house.\xa0 His favorite activities are chewing toys, chasing a ball, chewing sticks, walking and meeting people.\xa0 Like any young dog, he has plenty of energy and can be a little mischievous at times!

If Beagles are your breed of choice and you have the time to make sure Bear gets plenty of daily exercise, why not fill out an application?\xa0 Arrangements to meet him will be made for approved applicants.

If you think you might be interested in adopting, your first step should be to complete an\xa0 Adoption Application which can be found at www.caninerescue.org. \xa0 After you have completed your application, you will immediately get a confirmation that we have received your application. It takes a lot of time to process the applications, so we ask for your patience while we do so. If you see that the dog you were interested in has been adopted it means there were many applications for that dog and we did not get as far as processing your application before a home was found. We welcome you to apply again if you see another dog that interests you. If you have a question, please email your question to adoptions@caninerescue.org. It is much easier and quicker for us to respond by email as we receive many phone calls each day.\xa0 Completing an application does not commit you to adopt, but please be sure that you are serious about adopting and have the time and patience to raise a puppy before you apply.

We do adopt out of state, however we do not transport or ship dogs. Potential adopter must be able and willing to travel to the Rescue to meet the dog they are interested in.

*PLEASE double check all of the phone numbers that you provide as if they are incorrect, we will be unable to process your application. Please also let your references know that someone from NCCR will be calling them. Most adoption team members call from their personal phone so advise your references that there may be an unknown number or a private number calling them.
