Meet the Bears!
Brown Bear (female) and Beagle Bear (male) are a bonded pair of siblings, about 10.5 years of age. They are both sweet dogs. Their foster mom says they’ve been very good in the house, though they do like to jump when she’s getting dinner ready, she’s working on that with them. They will spend time in their crates sometimes, on their own and have been good about going potty outside, when one goes the other goes out, they don’t want to be separated. Our rescue partner told us they are good with other dogs prior to arriving in Maine. They have not been fostered with other dogs, cats or children since coming into our care here in Maine. They are current on age appropriate core vaccinations, have already been spayed and neutered, and are heartworm negative. Beagle Bear did test positive for exposure to ehrlichia and although he is asymptomatic for ehrlichiosis, he has received a prophylactic course of doxycycline. The Bears came into rescue after their owner passed away and family members were unable to care for them. They each weigh about 33 lbs.

A very generous group of MLR supporters have donated a total of $395 per dog toward the normal adoption fee of $595 for each dog. Please note, as mentioned above they are a bonded pair of siblings. They will only be placed as a pair with one loving family.
