Meet Garfunkel!  Hes a large high energy youngster, full of pep and puppy antics, we think maybe about 2 years old.  Garfunkel appears to be some sort of black lab mix!  He came to us so scared, he did not want us to touch him.  After several days, and lots of doggy treats, he came to realize we meant him no harm and was soon an attention-loving and playful rascal! He has learned some basic commands like “sit, stay, down, and wait”. Also walks well on leash and doesn’t try to chase cars on the street.  Enthusiastic, joyful,  jumps up and down to greet his favorite volunteers.  A very loving dog! Garfunkel will need training, love, and patience.  We dont know if he has ever lived in a home, so his new family will need to be prepared to potty-train, etc.  He really seems to be more interested in human attention than the company of other dogs.  Garfunkel is suspicious of new people, so will likely take a few visits to fully trust a new human.
