Description:
Meet King!

This handsome boy is an AKC purebred Labrador Retriever who is now a retired Show Dog Champion looking for his forever home.

An Adore member met him at his boarding facility and heard that he was looking for a forever home. After speaking with his owner, they agreed to let us post him for a forever home since we have a screening process for adopters that ensures we would find King a good home! King is incredible with all people (his tail will not stop wagging) and its adorable when he carries toys in his mouth.

King is 3 years old and weighs 73 lbs. We were told he is the English Lab breeding so he is shorter in height but has thick bone structure. He is GREAT with kids and we have seen him interact with kids as young as 4 years old. He is perfect on a leash and crate trained. He has not had accidents inside the home. He also does well on car rides. We think it will take a good week or two for him to adjust to a home- but we do offer a week trial period! He has done well around other dogs while hes been on a leash, but we havent seen him have direct introductions to another dog. We are not sure how he would be with cats. He has not chased any while on a leash.

King is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative.

Filling out an adoption application would be the first step towards meeting and potentially looking to adopt King. Adoption applications can be found at www.adorehouston.org/adoption-application/

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
