Rio is a very affectionate boy that prefers to be where his people are. He is crate trained but sleeps on the floor in his foster parents bedroom but has no problem being in his crate when they are not at home. He is almost completely housebroken and enjoys his walks on a leash. He does well with other dogs when they meet on leash and would probably enjoy having another dog in the home to play with. Rio needs a lot of exercise as any young dog does, so an active person or family would be perfect for him. We are not sure how would be with cats but he will chase squirrels and other small animals so cats will need to be tested. Rio is a very loyal boy and needs a family that is familiar with his breed and willing to train him and spend time with him. Rio is possibly a Black Mouth Cur, about 2 years old and weighs 57 pounds. You can apply on line at www.hsvawl.org by completing the Adoption Application on the home page.
