Description:
Meet Handsome Huck

Huck’s looking for country living, baked treats, and sweet lady-dates. Huck’s got a lean, leggy frame and needs room to run. He’s got joy in his step and likes to prance when time for a walk / run. Full, toothy-smiles and sweet love from this boy. He’s come a long way from being fearful of most all things and people. Hucks not picky about dogs – male or female – they just can’t be pushy / bossy. (Just like people, pushy and bossy may not make for good friends.) Huck does love the sweeter play styles of the ladies (hence, lady-dates per his request). Will play bitey-face sometimes – but prefers chase as his favorite game with other dogs. Great at alerting for coyote (and also cougar scents which is awesome for when we’re out on BLM and forest service land). Will protect yard from these predators. Good recall and sticks close to his person.

Breed: We think he may be BC/Guardian Livestock dog/Lab mix.
Age: I believe he was born in February of 2020.
Weight: Possibly 65 – 70 lbs. Lean and leggy guy.
Coat – Short / medium length. Soft, luxurious, and ALWAYS clean.
Neutered - yes
His People – He’s requested a kind person who is outdoorsy. He is content to lounge and run around outside and doesn’t jump the fence – so asks for lots of outdoor time. His people should be willing to work with him on meet-and-greets with humans (he gets worried and scared mostly with men). One time meet-and-greets are typically all that is needed. Then he’ll show you how HAPPY he is to see his new friend a second time.

Children – hasn’t been around but wouldn’t recommend.
Home – country, fenced (4 foot), nice dog bed or couch. He’ll chase cars along the fence line.
Livestock – hasn’t been around. May chase and bark at. Chickens - Not recommended
Cats – Not recommended!
Dogs – yes
Kenneling – yes – Will go right in and is a must when driving (will try to catch the cars otherwise).

Huck’s a really good dog. Since he came to us as a foster – we’ve really seen his personality come out and he has so much joy and happiness now. It just took a few months for him to feel safe and comfortable. He’s becoming the dog he was always meant to be.

Adoption fee is 350.00
